Let’s start from Nishijin employment security office.

Go north this Omiya street.

On your right, there is an Antique shop.

I like this shop, everything inexpensive.

There is an intersection.

If you turn right..

There is a cat cafe on your righr, this may be Japanese unique culture, where you play with cats.

And the charge.

Let’s go back to Omiya street, walked earlier.

There is popular Pan cake cafe on your left.

Please turn right the next corner between Parking and Restaurant.

And go straight.

“Aishindo”

There is Japanese sweets shop. This is popular.

You will see big street,  turn right and 10sec walk.

There is “Seimei shrine”.

Seimei is popular person’s name.

Long long ago, the capital city was Kyoto.

And Seimei had guarded this capital from evil spirit with his distinctive competence.

He is very popular among Japanese,  to be made his Movie story and sometimes appeared as a hero in games.

this is symbolic flower “Chinese bellflower”, we call them “kikyou”.

Peach is believed to exorcize evil spirits.

This big street is Horikawa street.

Please go left, the North direction.

If you finish at here, bus stop to go to Kyoto st or Shijyo area is opposite side of this street.

Go north, you will see Nishijin textile center and  Nishijin brocade goods shop.

Here is Horikawa Imadegawa, and turn left.

“Tsuruya yoshinobu”

On your right, there is sweets shop for Japanese tea ceremony. This is very popular and has long history.

Go West.

And here is Omiya street again.

Convenience store on your left and small police office on your right.

The street names are Imadegawa-street and Omiya-street.

Turn right.

Meat and prepared dish shop on your left.

Candy shop with red roof on your right.

Japanese sake shop, they have many varieties.

An antique shop on your right and..

Restaurant with red doors. Here is the intersection need to turn left.

The street names are Omiya-street and Kuramaguchi -street.

Next to the red door’s restaurant is an sweets shop.

Cookies.

And small roll cakes around 200JPY.

Cream is butter cream. I like this.

“umezono”

Japanese style sweets cafe.

“Sarasa Nishijin”

This is my recommend cafe and restaurant.

They have cafe, food and alcohol menu.

Building is renovated public bath. I like this mood.

Next to the cafe, there is a glass workshop.

Go west.

Other unique cafe.

“Garo”

Please keep going west.

Next is the goal.

“Funaoka public bath”

This is old public bath. Interior decoration is very beautiful. This has long history and you will enjoy Japanese public bath culture in maximum.
